The Sultan of the ‘Ulem al’Iz al-Din ‘Abdu al-Salam wrote:“The way to Allah is made up of the apparent and the inner. Its apparent path is Shari’ah and its actualization is the inner. Two words bring both the apparent and the inner together: “It is You alone we worship and it is You alone we beseech for assistance.” “It is you Alone we worship” is the Shar’iah and “It is You alone we beseech for help” is the inner.”

I was advising a loved one on what to do in a delicate matter when I used the analogy of a journey. You may find it useful, then again you could consider it a complete waste of time ..Imagine standing at a train station with the intention of embarking on a journey. There are two possibilities: 1. You know where you want to go 2. You have no idea. Now you are surrounded by trains destined for different destinations, all trains are not alike, some are very basic, others luxurious, with amongst other amenities, a state of the art entertainment system. What do you do??

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful & CompassionateYes, the hadra is in itself permitted, as writings of major Hanafi authorities make clear.
Among the imams of the Hanafi school who have specifically permitted it are Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Kamal Basha, Imam Shurunbulali, Sayyidi Abd al-Ghani al-Nablusi, `Allama Abd al-Qadir `Isa—who cites proofs for it from the major Hanafi reference works, including Ibn Abidin—and Imam Ashraf Ali al-Tahanawi in his Imdad al-Fatawa (5.151).

Dear Sheikh,“I live in Sri Lanka and wondered if it was acceptable for the Muslim community here to gather for the sake of remembering Allah as a congregation?”
The Answer:
This is a controversial issue amongst the scholars. Some saw gatherings for the purpose of reciting Qur’an and the remembrance of Allah [in a group] as innovation, and there were others who saw it as something venerable.

In this section, Faraz Rabbani explains that there is a comprehensive Islamic philosophy underpining Sharia. For each We have appointed a divine law and a traced-out way. Had God willed, He could have made you one community. But that He may try you by that which He has given you. So vie one with another in good works. Unto God you will all return, and He will then inform you of that wherein you differ.
Qur’an, 5:48
For Muslims, life did not begin at birth, but a long time before that. Before even the creation of the first man. It began when God created the souls of everyone who would ever exist and asked them, “Am I not your Lord?” They all replied, “Yea.”

Warning: Avoid this 2-volume English translation of Riyad al-Salihin !
A review of the translation of al-Nawawi’s Riyad al-Salihin published in 1999 by Darussalam Publishing House, Riyad: http://www.dar-us-salam.com/h4riyad-us.htmA team of unprincipled editors and translators out of a Ryad publishing house by the name of Darussalam was commissioned to produce a glossy 2-volume English edition of Imam al-Nawawi’s Riyad al-Salihin – being distribued for free to Islamic schools around the world – designed to propagate “Salafi” ideology to the unwary English-speaking Muslim students of Islamic knowledge. This ideology is couched within a thoroughly unscrupulous “commentary” inserted into the book chapters and authored by an unknown or spurious “Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf of Pakistan,” “revised and edited by Mahmud Rida Murad” (1:7). Following are some examples of what is contained in this brand new “Salafi” product:
